When talk turns to open and alternate tunings it’s easy, especially for a beginning guitarist, to start thinking that any song is going to be harder, much harder to play. She, and Ani DiFranco, are certainly masters of playing in different tunings. But Joni Mitchell should be included in that conversation, too.
